Adventure shatters our sometimes oppressive and insistent reality. Adventure can push our brain into better health by creating new connections between our brain cells and changing the balance of available neurotransmitters. However, a routine also has benefits such as management of stress, sleep, movement and use of time. It is about finding the balance. When parts of a routine become about establishing order because of fear or anxiety, instead of personal priorities for growth, it is time for adventure. When routines are not promoters of a quality life, but better yet a web of thought and behavior that imprison us and limit our potential, it is time for adventure. When little to no departure from routine becomes a confined circle of disconnection, it is time for adventure. When routine keep us in a state of “unaware”, we are still covered by yet another veil, further removed from source and our authentic self. When we are “unaware” we are not in alignment. The subconscious starts to guide your life. Routines can provide structure, order and predictability, making life less stressful and helping us establish goals. I have important routines in the morning…..herbs, meditation, time with companion plants, reading. These routines are done for personal growth and alignment with my authentic self. They are done for connection and to be aware. Yet, if I begin to walk through these routines on auto-pilot, simply following without much thought (awareness), it will be time for adventure. Below are 3 steps to explore your limits.
1.Analyse all the restrictive limits that you’ve already set and find the best way to exceed them. Don’t see your limits as a challenge that you need to overcome, but rather as an opportunity for further growth.
2.Break down your goals into smaller steps and involve them in your daily routine. Instead of being overwhelmed with a big large step, split it into smaller yet important steps of progress done daily.
3.It’s all in your head. Everything starts with your clear intentions. You are what you think. Make sure time is spent daily to remove limiting believes and verbalize/visualize your future projections.
