Peace is a Place of Power

Peace is a place of power. Expression of our authentic self is our most harmonious communication and in harmony, we find peace. Creation is our communication. We are either communicating harmony (balance) or disharmony (imbalance), but we are ALWAYS communicating. The further removed we are from our authentic self in our daily practice, the more disharmony we invite. Disharmony often looks like imbalances in our physical health, mental health and/or environmental health. The good news is, plants can give clarity as we reflect on what is an old life script (your adaptive self) and what is the new life script (authentic self). There is mounting evidence that tulsi can address physical, chemical, metabolic and psychological stress through her unique combination of pharmacological actions. She helps us weed out what is a fear response and what is our true nature. Salvia officinalis is the scientific name for sage and its Latin origin translates into English meaning “to be saved”. Yes Please.

Old Life Script (your adaptive self)

-prioritize fitting in, getting along & in general doing what we’re told

-needed as children to feel loved supported by caregiver

-believes, thoughts, emotions, behaviors programmed in subconscious from early childhood

New Life Script with Tulsi & Sage

First, this requires careful examination of old life scripts….

1.Do you have doubts about your competence and/or value? When did they start?

2.What event triggered these doubts?

3.What did the experience tell you about you competence and/or value?

4.What did this teach you about the world?

5.Is this script true and does it serve you?

When you have narrowed down the limiting believe, it is time to rewrite the script. Thinking patterns can be habitual, but with awareness and subconscious rewiring, you can replace negative thoughts with patterns that match your authentic self.

Tulsi

We start returning to balance one step at a time, but are not alone on this journey. We have plant allies that are perfect for returning to center, including Holy Basil (Tulsi). There is mounting evidence that holy basil can address physical, chemical, metabolic and psychological stress through her unique combination of pharmacological actions. She has been found to protect organs and tissues against chemical stress from pollutants/heavy metals and physical stress from prolonged physical exertion/physical restraint. She can counter metabolic stress through normalization of blood glucose and blood pressure and psychological stress through positive effects on memory and cognitive function and through her antidepressant properties.

Sage

Salvia officinalis is the scientific name for sage and its Latin origin translates into English meaning “to be saved”. Sage is particularly noted for strengthening the nervous system, improving memory, and sharpening the senses. She has been shown to help those with Alzheimer’s, brain chemical imbalances, memory loss and depression. Research on sage has indicated that she also helps increase alertness. A cup of the strong infusion will be found good to relieve nervous headache. Sage has an anti-spasmodic action which reduces tension in smooth muscle. Sage contains many antioxidants, including apigenin, diosmetin and luteolin, helping with the reduction of inflammation. Sage has been researched for helping in the lowering of glucose and used as a preventative toward type 2 diabetes.
