  • Papaya leaf- Papaya leaf contains various nutrients and plant compounds with potential anti-inflammatory benefits, such as papain, flavonoids, and vitamin E. She has potent antioxidants and may help the body balance blood sugars. This is attributed to papaya leaf’s ability to protect insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. She may also be useful in preventing chemical-induced liver toxicities.

Rose hips- She has been found to contain high levels of polyphenols, galactolipids, carotenoids, and vitamins C and E, all of which have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Rose hips may help prevent liver damage, especially after liver toxicity, due to their antioxidant properties.

Burdock-Burdock contains multiple types of powerful antioxidants including quercetin, luteolin, and phenolic acids that reduce inflammation. Her root has long been used to treat skin conditions like acne, psoriasis and eczema. The water-soluble fibers in burdock help the intestines get rid of toxins from the body and the inulin content is a PRE-biotic, which feeds healthy gut. The liver is also supported by the presence of phytochemicals in burdock root that reduce the formation of cysts and remove toxic hormones that have been ingested from external sources such as herbicides, pesticides and other environmental influences. Her anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties may also support liver cells from damage caused by alcohol, acetaminophen, or other liver-damaging toxins.

Milk thistle seed-The silymarin extracted from milk thistle is known to have antioxidant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. She has traditionally been used to treat liver and gallbladder disorders.

-Other complimentary herbs include dandelion root, licorice root and hibiscus
